IN THE NEWS

January 17, 2023
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Honorable Lisa R. Diggs, Clerk of Court, shared the following statement about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, "Across the city of New Orleans, people are celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. In both my professional and personal life, I live by their words and dedication to service. I believe Dr. King described the best question we as leaders can ask ourselves when he said, 'Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?' Although today is a celebration of Dr. King, we should remember and live by his words each and every day. There is never a time in which we should stop asking ourselves 'What are you doing for others?'." -Honorable Lisa R. Diggs, Clerk of Court
